~~SUSPENSION~~

Jake can now say "I have been suspended from school".  This is what happened... So the Thursday before the homecoming dance Jake was in English class and one of his friends Brittney Barnes had some pepper spray on her key chain.  Jake who knows why asks her if she has ever sprayed it and if she knows if it stinks?  Really??? So she said no and he asks do you care if I spray some on my wrist?  She is like ummm no.  So he does.  Well it turns out that even a little pepper spray on your wrist pretty much can wreak up a room and make people so they have trouble breathing.  So class ends and Jake soon is asked to go to the principals office to talk about the pepper spray incident.  Jake still doesn't think he has done anything wrong or maybe if so lunch detention for a few days?  No he has basically used a "weapon" in school and put a classroom of students at jeopardy so that was terms to be suspended for 3 days :(  (The girl that brought the pepper spray only got 1 day suspension).  Not only that since it was the day before the homecoming football game they didn't let him play in the game or go to the homecoming dance.  So he had to miss those things and 3 days of school.   Well needless to say Jake was bummed at church that Sunday so after talking to some people in our ward he made plans for his days off.  Instead of sleeping the day away he was going to go and do something.  Monday the Mooth's had him over for BBQ hamburgers and then Steve took Jake and Mike to the Gun Range up Parley's canyon.  Tuesday he got picked up at 5:00 am by Dave Bagley one of his young men leaders and he took him to hike Lone Peak (a 12.8 mile hike)  they had tried to fit this hike in during the summer but couldn't find the time.  Later Tuesday afternoon Mike and I took Jake to Dragon Diner for lunch.  I am so grateful for these awesome men in our neighborhood who took time out of their day to spend time with our "hoodlum" :)  It really meant alot to Jake to get to do something while everyone was in school and at football practice.  We learned 2 things last week... 1- We sure live in an awesome neighborhood and 2 - Don't ever spray pepper spray in school! haha
