SUN VALLEY IDAHO

I just got back from a girls trip to Sun Valley, ID w/Mom, Amy, Melanie, Chloe, and Ezra (we missed you Mandy). We had lots of fun shopping, eating, walking, playing games, watching movies and relaxing. I forgot how gorgeous it is there. My parents have had a timeshare my whole life so I grew up going there one week a year. Since I have been married we don't get up there as often as I would like. Melanie and Amy have since bought into the timeshare so Mel had her week this past week and she invited us to go up for a 3 night and 4 day getaway. Thanks for the good times and fun memories.
We saw an owl walking around town. Very fun to see.
Cute Chloe...3 years old.
Sun Valley Lodge.
Standing in front of the lodge.
Amy made a yummy dessert one night.
Chocolate Lava Cake...mmmm very delicious.
Never mind that it was about 10:30 PM
It rained quite a bit and was pretty cold.Eating at the Pioneer Saloon...best rice in town =)Can't wait for our next getaway!!!

ELITE DANCE RECITAL

Sadie just had her Spring dance recital. She has been looking forward to this for so many weeks. She was in heaven up on that stage getting to perform in front of all those people.

Grandma Ruthie came over a few hours before her performance and brought her a special treat (a purse, stickers, hair clips, candy and nail polish). Sadie loved all the surprises.
A few of the girls before we took them backstage.
Allie, Zani, Sadie, Grace, Brooklyn
Their dance was "Under the Sea". It was SO, SO cute.
It was fun to have Melanie and Chloe there.

TENT TRAILER

The story of....
THE TENT TRAILER
Well almost 1 year ago over Memorial Weekend we took a camping trip to Green River "Swayze's Beach" with the Nelson clan. We were there "3" nights and it rained and rained so hard. Our tent was full of water and Mike said "NO MORE. We are getting a trailer." So the search began and Mike has been looking for the perfect trailer... for the perfect price... ever since. A few weeks ago he finally made a decision and found this BEAUTY.

Welcome to the Dean Family Little Trailer.
We are so excited to take it out and get to camp and explore with the kids. It has 2 king pullouts, sink, heater, running water, stove top, table that turns to a bed in the middle and....
don't forget the most important thing...
A toilet and shower....YEEESSSS =)Now all we need is some nice weather so we can take it out.

MOTHER'S DAY

What a great Mother's Day surprise....on Sunday morning when I got to church and I saw Will sitting on the stand. I said "Why is Will on the stand?" Mike said "He is giving a talk". I couldn't believe it. I had no idea. Mike helped him write this talk below. Mike said Will was in tears that morning because he was so nervous and he didn't want to do it. I HAD NO IDEA!!!! (Needless to say Will gets to go on a date with Mike...I guess that was the bribe Mike gave him =). What a great job he did. I was in tears. I was quite impressed since he doesn't like to speak in public...I think he got that from me.

WILL'S TALK
There are many ways that I show my mother love. From the very simple things such as giving her a hug and a kiss to the more difficult things such as practicing the piano every day. I also show her love by doing what she asks of me, cleaning my room, saying my prayers and being nice to my brother and sisters.

My mother showers me with her love by helping me get ready for school, taking me to school and then helping me with my homework. But that’s not all, she’s also kind and gentle to me and hugs me when I am sad. She goes to all my soccer games and lets me play with my friends and she loves to tuck me in at night and kiss my cheek. This is how I know my mother loves me.

My mother is such a good example to me and teaches me so much. She teaches me that it is important to be nice to people and always include everyone. She teaches me to be kind to my brother and sisters and to be polite. She teaches me to love the outdoors and to be active. She teaches me that school is important and to get good grades. She teaches me to be a good person and friend.

My mother also teaches me that she loves the savior, Jesus Christ, and that I should too. She teaches me how to pray and to read the scriptures. She helps me to know that through the Gospel I can be happy and find peace. She teaches me that it is important to go to church every week and partake of the sacrament. Most of all she shows me what to do by being a good example. By following my mother, I will become closer to my Heavenly Father. By following my mother I will learn to love my Savior. By following my mother I will become a better boy.

Thanks for all you do for me mom. I love you!

Will - 9 yrs.I am so grateful I get to be the MOM to"4" great kids, Diesel and

don't forget Mike =)
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!These are the gifts I made for my mother and mother-n-law. They turned out very cute. I was quite impressed with myself since I came up with the idea on Thursday night and we were gone all day on Saturday that I could get all the pictures printed one hour and put it all together on Friday. They both really liked them. I think I need to make one for my table of our kids.

The "NELSON" bouquet...17 grandkids. The "DEAN" bouquet...8 grandkids.HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

FUN times at LAGOON

Sadie had her dance performance at lagoon yesterday. The performance was so cute and the girls did such a great job. I love their cute swimsuit costumes. Here are some pictures of the girls before they went up on stage.

Doing their performance.Rachel came early with me to watch Sadie perform and than Mike and the boys came later after Will's soccer game. We had a great time doing all the rides together. The only bummer thing is I held Kristine's backpack and camera while she took Brooklyn on Wild Mouse and I put down her camera somewhere. I really hope it turns up since Kristine hadn't taken her pictures off for awhile. I may have to buy her a new camera =(

Sadie, Grace, BrooklynGrace hung out with us while her mom was in the pavilion for 5 hours watching Emma and Addie dance.
