SPRING SKIING

Mike, Rachel, Jake and Will all went skiing last Saturday. The weather was super nice and the snow was really slushy. Mike loves skiing in those conditions but Will thought it was super hard. By the looks of Park City the ski season is now over. The kids had a great time skiing this year. Rachel had a seasons pass to Alta so she skied there a lot with friends. Saturday was the only time she skied with Mike, Jake and Will. Jake and Will had season passes to Park City this year. They got up there a ton even with the crazy season we have had with the weather. Mike got a 5 pack for Christmas from his parents so he got up there a little. Sadie and I never made it up this season. Dang it! When the snow was late this season we didn't want to pay the fee for us to go and then when it started to snow Sadie had her broken finger which made it tricky for her to put on a glove. Next year Sadie!
Seeing the lack of snow in the mountains makes us HAPPY that...

FESTIVAL of COLORS

Rachel went with her friends Davis and Ellie last weekend to the Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork. She said it was so fun! You pay $10 for a bag of colors and every 2 hours people throw them up in the air. It definitely looked like a fun experience... Ahhh the JOYS of being...
A TEENAGER!

WINTER SEWING

Sadie just finished her second session of sewing. She had so much fun creating and making fun things. It was great to have something for her to do during the Winter months. She now says she needs a sewing machine...hmmm maybe birthday or Christmas?

These are all the things she made...
pillowcase, bag, sock monkey, pajama pants and small bag!
Great work Sadie...
I am so happy to now have a Dean family seamstress :)

SADIE vs DOOR

Saturday night Sadie, Mike and I had great fun spending
4 hours in the Primary Children's ER...
NOT :(

Will played Futsal at 7:00 Saturday night at an indoor soccer place on 1300 South. I was watching the game on one end of the court and Mike, Jake and Sadie were on the other end. I get a phone call from Mike he says, "Em, Sadie has smashed her finger in the bathroom door." Me thinking its not that bad tells Mike to just take her to an Instacare and have them look at it. Well Kristine was sitting by me and tells me that one of the parents on Logan's teams is an ER nurse and to bring Sadie to the other end to see if it does need to be looked at or if we could just clean it and take care of it ourselves. They walked in the north entrance where we were sitting and the nurse was like....UMMM yeah, that looks pretty bad you should probably go right to Primary Children's and have them look at that. We sent the boys home with the Little's and Mike, Sadie and I headed up to Primary Children's. The whole way up there Sadie was crying saying I don't want stitches...UMMM Sadie pretty sure you're gonna need stitches. She also was saying why couldn't this have happened to Will or Jake or someone else? Pretty much common for people to think at times when bad things happen that they wish it could have happened to somebody else, but usually they keep it to themselves. Sadie was such a trooper. She was so brave. Her finger was broken in two spots and she had to get 7 stitches. They said she will have to wear a splint for about 2-3 weeks. The good thing is the stitches they put in are dissolvable. Sadie was really concerned about stitches because one of her buddies Allie had stitches in her lip and she told Sadie that it hurt really bad to get them out, so we were relieved they will not have to be taken out. Thanks a ton for the texts, phone calls and gifts friends and family brought Sadie. We are so lucky to have such great people in our lives. It sure made Sadie feel good knowing people were thinking about her :)
Waiting in the bed for the hand surgeon.
It was sure nice that NEVER say NEVER was on...
it made Sadie feel a little bit better :)Numbing the finger. After they numbed the finger. For most people it would be a good thing that it was the left hand, but not for Sadie, she is a lefty. School work is going to be a little difficult for the next few weeks. Way to be such a brave girl Sadie.
We LOVE you!
