MONSTER MASH

Rachel went to the Monster Mash dance last Saturday night.  It was girls choice and she asked Ben Seagle a cute boy in our ward. Their group went as Disney characters.  Rachel went as Rapunzel and Ben went as Flynn Rider.  They ate at her friends house before the dance and after the dance they went to another friends house and made caramel apples and hung out.  She had a GREAT time!

Ben gave Rachel these flowers as a THANK YOU for the fun date :)

HALLOWEEN AT DRIGGS

The kids had their annual Halloween parade at School.  This year it was on Friday, October 26th.  It was kind of weird not having it on Halloween.  It was nice though to have one less thing to do on Halloween day. As always there were a ton of people there to watch the parade.  There were sure some clever costumes this year.  I helped with Sadie and Will's class parties that day.  It was fun to be with them in their classes and get to see them with their friends.

HAUNTED HALF MARATHON

On October 20th Rachel, Mike and I ran in the Haunted Half Marathon.  It was 13.1 miles down Emigration canyon, up by Fort Douglas, through the U of U campus, past the Salt Lake City cemetery and ending in Memory Grove.  This was Rachel's first 1/2 and she did AWESOME!  I ran with Rachel the whole time.  We crossed the finish line together. Mike finished about 15 minutes ahead of us. The great thing is Rachel LOVED it and wants to do another one and maybe even a marathon :)  It sure makes me happy that she likes to run.  It is nice to have something we can do together.  Some of the costumes were pretty amazing.  Mike ran the whole way in his costume with his face covered up (pretty claustrophobic to me).  The most I wanted to do for a costume is spray my hair red (which I still have some pink in it today, so not quite sure if that was a great idea :)
This Headless Horseman was riding around at the start.  Pretty amazing costume!
Judy and Roger came and brought Will and Sadie.  It was nice to have Roger take pictures and to have them cheer us on at a few spots.

St George marathon may be in our future...
I vowed I would never do another marathon unless one of our kids do one.  I may have to do another one after all!
