R.E.D. for HISTORIAN

Rachel ran for historian at her school last week. She had to make 1 banner, 3 posters and 15 fliers. Bummer thing is she didn't make it past primaries. She had a super cute slogan - RED (Taylor Swift album idea:) also her name is Rachel Elizabeth Dean. It was a darling idea. Thanks to our awesome neighbor Kate her posters and banner turned out great. There were alot of Rachel's friends that ran and tons didn't make primaries so she is OK. I am just glad she had the courage to try. What a great girl! Rachel you are a strong, confident, friendly, beautiful, smart, spiritual, loving, funny and witty girl. We couldn't ask for a better daughter and friend.

WILL FUTSAL

Will just finished his Futsal indoor soccer season. We didn't get many pictures so the ones I got are kind of lame. I still wanted to post them so I have them for the book. I don't really love FUTSAL. I am glad they are back to outdoor.... I personally think its much more entertaining ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

I had a great "41st" birthday. Saturday birthdays are the best :) Friday night Mike took me out on a date than Saturday we went bowling and to dinner at Fat Cats with the kids. It was so fun to spend the night with our kids. We have some of the coolest kids that I LOVE to hangout with. It was a fun day of tons of texts, emails, phone calls, Facebook messages and treats dropped off at my house. I definitely felt the LOVE :)

OLYMPUS CHOIR TRIP ANYONE???

Rachel went to California with the Olympus Choir a few weeks ago. They left Thurs afternoon at 2:30 and got home Tues afternoon at 2:30. There were 170 students that went from Olympus. They had such a fun time. They spent a day at Disneyland, the beach, they saw a Broadway show in Vegas, they performed 3 times. She said it was a super fun trip. That is one reason right there to take concert choir :)

We are so grateful for the great girl Rachel is and the AWESOME friends she has! Oh the life of a teenager...

GOODBYE TO A GREAT FRIEND

Will's comp soccer coach he has had for the past 2+ years died last Wednesday evening. When I was at school last Thursday morning I got a phone call from my friend Holly Little telling me that Rob Reynard had taken his own life. It literally shocked me. Rob has been such a big part of Will's life for the past 2+ years with 2 practices and 1 to 2 games a week (10 months out of the year). We have traveled to St. George 3 times and Mesquite once to play in tournaments. At these tournaments we spent lots of time with Rob and his family and really got to know them well. Nobody knew just how sad and depressed Rob was. Rob was one of Will's greatest fans. He always complimented Will on his awesome left leg and how fast he is. He was super friendly and always made time for each boy. Our boys all wore their jerseys to his funeral and sat on a bench together. It broke my heart to see Will cry. He really loved him and is good friends with his son Payton so it's been pretty hard.

After the funeral the team all went to Apollo to drown our sorrows in some greasy food...

CABIN GETAWAY

Last Friday night 18 of us from our neighborhood went up to Eden, UT to stay in our friend Holly Lang's inlaws cabin (or should I say more like a lodge). It was super huge :) We had such a great night of going to dinner and just hanging out and talking until 1:30 in the morning. I sure LOVE Holly. I am so glad I get to work with her in the Relief Society Presidency (she keeps me sane. :) She is one of my VERY BEST friends :) Love ya Holly. Thanks for the good time :)

A group of 12 of us left for the cabin at 2:30 so we ate dinner together in Eden. The other 6 left at 6:00 after their hubbies got home, so they ate together in Bountiful. This is the Eden dinner crew!
