MEMORIAL BREAK

We spent Memorial break up at the cabin with the Nelson's (3 nights and 3 days).  It was so nice and the weather was perfect.  Nice in the day and cool at night.  We ate lots of junk, played a ton of games, rode the 4wheelers and watched movies. Rachel brought her friend Taylor up on Friday.  They hung out and 4 wheeled and played games with us for the day and night.  It was fun to get to know him better.  It got us so excited for summer and the no schedule, relaxing part that summer brings. Yay! For the cabin :)

We came down from the cabin Monday morning in time to go to the Dean ANNUAL pool opening BBQ.  The first swim day is always the best and nothing can beat grandpa Roger's BBQ...burgers, hotdogs and chicken.  MMMM delish.  It was great fun spending time with the Dean cousins and enjoying the first swim together.  Yay! For the Pool :)

WILSON MOOTH

Since Rachel didn't play in any spring sports I had to put a pic of what has kept her busy.  She LOVES, LOVES tending this cute boy that lives across the street.  The great thing is Wilson LOVES Rachel too.  Ahhh isn't he the cutest little boy?

SPRING SPORTS

We had another fun season participating in SPRING sports at our house.  Sadie trained 1 day a week with the soccer academy this year and played in games with her rec team.  She loved being with the academy and will probably keep training 1 day with them again in the fall but she LOVES playing soccer with her buddies and wants to stay on the rec team with them.  I personally would LOVE it if she decided not to go comp.  It is a pretty big commitment and one that Sadie isn't quite sure she would want since she still loves to dance and is interested in doing more tumbling.  We sure love watching her play soccer.  She is pretty aggressive and not afraid to get in there and get the ball.

GREAT JOB SADIE!

Jake participated again this year with the OLYMPUS JR. track team.  He ran in the mile and 400 meter.  He did pretty good considering he did ABSOLUTELY NO TRAINING.  His fastest mile was 5.43.  I guess it's a good thing he is a natural.  It is fun to watch our kids run since it is a big part of our lives.

AWESOME SEASON JAKE!

Will just finished his second year of competitive soccer.  He has decided to trade in his soccer cleats for football cleats in the fall.  He is pretty excited to try out football.  It was a hard decision for him because he is an AWESOME soccer player but heck, he is only 12 so he should be able to tryout new things.   It has been really interesting how some of his friends have reacted.  I am not quite sure he will maintain friendships with some that have been super lame and not quite nice about his decision.  I have told him soccer isn't everything and friendships are so I hope some of these boys remember that.  Although we will miss watching that AWESOME left foot run the ball down and score, we are pretty proud of Will to have the courage to try something new, and yes Will, YOU ARE good enough at soccer that if football isn't a good fit you can always go back!

GREAT SEASON WILL!
