~~LAST CABIN TRIP WITH RACHEL~~

We took one last trip up to the cabin with Rachel before she left on her mission.  Grandpa, Grandma, Amy, Morgan, Sadie, Rachel and I enjoyed some time playing games, watching movies, eating junk, riding the 4wheelers, spring cleaning and just spending time together.  What a great getaway!!! :)

~~HAPPY "19th" BIRTHDAY RACHEL~~

Rachel celebrated her "19th" birthday a few weeks ago.  It was a birthday full of mission clothes and luggage.  We are so excited for her that she is serving a mission.  This girl couldn't be any more ready than she is!  We sure LOVE YOU Rachel!!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY and thanks for being you! :)

~~RACHEL'S MISSION PARENTS~~

Rachel, Mike and I had the opportunity to go to lunch with her mission President Steve Miles and his wife Lori the first week in June.  It was so fun to meet the parents that will be watching over Rachel while she is in Calgary.  They were the sweetest people.  They both graduated from Olympus High and live in the Cottonwood Heights area.  They start their mission on July 1st too! :)  Cynthia Williams one of Rachel's young women leaders daughter is married to the Miles nephew.  When Rachel opened her call Cynthia was there and she said oh I know your mission president and his wife.  Well that's all Rachel needed to hear because after that she texted Cynthia and asked if she could contact the Miles.  They were more than happy to meet us and get to know one of their future missionaries! :)  I am so, so grateful for worthy people that are willing to give up 3 years of their lives to be mission presidents and moms to these sweet missionaries.  The Miles will always hold a dear spot in our hearts.  Thank you, thank you for being there for Rach when we can't!  WE LOVE YOU!!!

~~END OF SCHOOL PROGRAMS~~

Sadie had her Utah States program the last week of school.  Her state was Florida so this was what we came up with for her costume.  The program turned out so cute! :)  The awards assembly was also the last week of school. Sadie received two awards... $25 for writing an essay on a pioneer ancestor and High Honor Roll for having all A's this year.  Way to go Sadie!!!

~~ARCADIA HERE SHE COMES~~

Our niece Annie had her mission farewell the end of May.  She is serving in the Arcadia, California mission speaking spanish! :) Rachel roomed with Annie this year up at Utah State and they grew so close.  Not only is she a cousin she is one of Rachel's very best friend.  She did an amazing job speaking at her farewell.  The day before she left some of the Nelson girls went to breakfast at Kneaders.  Good luck Annie... We know you will be an AMAZING mission! :)
