Jake went to winter formal with Macy Rideout a sophomore at Olympus. This dance Jake was asked by the student body officers if he would be auctioned to help raise $ for charity and whoever had the highest bid was his date for the dance. Luckily Jake was happy with who won the bid :) Macy is a skier so for their day date they spent the day at Park City skiing. No better way to Jake's heart then that :) They had dinner at Epic, dance, hypnotist, and gingerbread houses. Jake said it was a lot of fun!! They sure make a Gorgeous couple! :)

~~A WALK THROUGH CHRIST'S LIFE~~
For our ward family Christmas party this year our youth helped Kate Mooth one of our members put together different rooms that talked about Christ's life. The rooms were Christs birth, Jarius' Daughter, Two Fisherman, Sermon on the Mount, Last Supper, Mary at the tomb and a young woman talked at the end about following Jesus Christ today. We had young woman as hosts take groups of about 8 people at a time to walk through these rooms and listen to things that happened during Christ's time on earth. Will and his buddy Logan were in the Fisherman's room and Jake was one of the Disciples at the Last Supper. It was pretty cool when I went outside and got in my car because I had forgotten something I could see the reflection of the boys sitting at the last supper table. It made me stop and think of what it really would have been like to be there at that time long, long ago. It turned out to be such a great evening and the youth did a great job helping! :)
~~ELLSIE'S BAPTISM~~
Our darling niece Ellsie was baptized last Saturday by my brother Jed. It was such a great program. Mike had to be up at Park City and host so he couldn't come but Jake, Will, Sadie and I represented for the Dean family :) Seeing Ellsie be baptized just made me appreciate Rachel serving a mission that much more. After all that's why she is in Calgary to bring people to baptism or bring them back to activity! Congrats Ellsie. We love you!
~~ACTIVITY DAYS~~
Sadie's cute 11 year old activity days group delivered cookies and sang Christmas carols to a few of the elderly people in the neighborhood. It was the highlight for those people and it made them so happy. Such cute girls! It's hard to believe they will be Beehives before we know it!! :)
~~SAVIOR OF THE WORLD~~
We went last week to the Savior of the World performance at the Conference Center. This is the first time we have been and it did not disappoint. I really felt the spirit there and it helped bring the true Christmas season into my heart. I am so grateful for our Savior and that he lived and died for each one of us. Because of him I get to be with my peeps forever and we are a party of 5 right now because Rachel is out sharing her love of him! Ahhhh Life is Good and I am forever grateful for the gospel in our lives. Bring on the Christmas Holiday!!! :)
~~IT'S BEEN 5 MONTHS~~
It crazy that Rachel has already been out on her mission for 5 months. She is absolutely loving it in Calgary. Her companion right now is Hermana Ratliff and they get along really well. Every Monday when we get emails from Rachel she just seems more and more happy! Ahhhhh I just love our missionary!!!
