We had another FANTASTIC girls trip to Vegas over Conference weekend. The crew this year was: Me, Michele, Kate, Michelle, Aubrey, Mandy and Steph!! We did nothing but celebrate Michele's birthday, go on walks, lay by the pool, play cards (the card game happy was a highlight again this year. We each put $10 in and I won the pot. YAY! :), we listened to conference and ate at some yummy restaurants. It was definitely my kind of trip for sure. Oh how I love all my neighborhood buddies! They are the absolute best!!! :)

~~OLYMPUS HOMECOMING~~
Jake and Will went to the Olympus Homecoming dance the last Saturday in September. It was Will's first homecoming and Jake's last. WILL went with Talia Brand. They went to Christian Rich's for breakfast and games, ate dinner at Brio, dance, Chris Shaefers for cereal and a movie! JAKE went with SaraJane Neff. They didn't do a day date (Jake ran in the NorthFace Challenge that day), they ate dinner at Bandit's, dance, bubble balls at the park and ended at Colton Bell's.
~~THE NORTHFACE ENDURANCE CHALLENGE~~
Jake ran in the Northface Endurance Challenge September 24th at Park City. It was supposed to be a 50k (31 miles) but because of the weather it turned into a marathon (26.2 miles). He did an amazing job! 7th place out of 187 with a time of 4 hrs 20 minutes. Seeing Jake develop a love for trail running this past spring and summer has been so fun to see. He has really learned a lot about himself and what it is to do HARD THINGS! Way to go Jake once again you make us proud :)
~~FAMILY CLEAN UP~~
Since Grandpa Robert has been so sick these past few months with a few hospital stays and surgery we decided to get together and do a Nelson Family clean up in their yard. We got together the last Friday of September since the kids had the day off school and the dads were able to take that day off and all went and did a few hours of yard work. It is so fun doing service with family and ending with pizza wasn't bad either :) I sure love the Nelson clan!! Families that serve together are pretty cool!!!
~~ELDER ELLIS HOMECOMING~~
Taylor did such an amazing job on his homecoming talk. It is so fun to see these Elders and Sisters come back and see how much they have really changed. Missions really are the best! :)
~~HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY~~
