We couldn't imagine our home without you. You have such a great excitement for life. It is so exciting that you get to be baptized this year. We are so PROUD of you.

This has been a fun week of celebrating Sadie's birthday. We had the grandparents over on Tuesday for dinner and presents, yesterday she had a swim party with 13 friends and today Sadie, Rachel and I went and got pedicures and then to lunch.
Definitely the "QUEEN" for a day!!!

February 4th SOMEBODY is getting baptized....

SCIENCE FAIR - 5th grade

Will and his buddy Logan entered the science fair this week at Driggs. Logan's class was required to do the science fair and for Will it was extra credit. Will wasn't going to do a project until Logan called and asked Will if he would do one with him. The Davies' were great helping the boys get all the supplies and followed through with the project. I guess since it was REQUIRED for Logan and just EXTRA for Will I kind of used that as an excuse to not get involved. Thanks Kristine for helping the boys. It turned out great.

FUTSAL

Will just finished a session of Futsal with his soccer team. It is a great alternative to help keep the boys in shape for outdoor ball. The games are so quick and the boys really learn to pass the ball and work together really well as a team. Great job BLAST!

BRACES

Jake got braces this week. The good thing for him is they told him 12-14 months. Much better than Rachel's 26 months. He is definitely feeling the pain. It is hard to believe that our 2nd child now has braces :(

FONDUE

NEW YEARS DAY

Growing up it was a Nelson tradition to eat fondue on New Years Day. Some years we are good about having fondue on New Years Day and some years we are not. This year my sister Amy was nice enough to organize and invite our family and my parents over to their house for fondue and games to carry out this tradition. Thanks Murdock's for hosting. We had a great time :)

(meat, bread, mushrooms, carrots, cauliflower, marshmallows, pretzels, pineapple, apples, bananas....mmmmm)

CHRISTMAS DAY

Waiting in the hall to go see what Santa brought :)

We were so excited to see that Santa brought our family a cruise to the Mexican Riviera (Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta). We leave on January 14th. Can't wait to be in the Mexican sun (its low 80s there right now) for 7 days...woot, woot. The best part about it is that Santa brought our friends the Wittwers and Dennings a cruise too so they will be on our boat... PARTY!!!

Christmas is all put away, but we still have the cards hanging on the door. I just love looking at them and being reminded of how many great people we have in our lives. We are truly blessed to have such great family and friends.

CHRISTMAS EVE

We did our TRADITIONAL bowling on Christmas Eve day with the Nelson clan. We look forward to this tradition every year. We had a great time eating and bowling together. I was glad to hear our Illinois little fam (Mel, Brad, Chloe and Ezra) did their own bowling on Christmas Eve too (tradition is tradition, even in Illinois :) We sure missed them being here with us though :(

Our kids are all ready to start the Christmas Eve festivities.

It was our year to have Christmas Eve dinner with the Nelson's. We ate, acted out and read the Nativity story, Will and James lead us in some Christmas songs and than we ended the evening with the kids opening some pajama bottoms from Grandma and Grandpa.

The kids are all in their new pj bottoms and ready to go home for bed...
