SANTA at TROLLEY SQUARE

One of our Christmas Traditions is going to Trolly Square and visiting Santa and then after we eat at Spaghetti Factory.  Our kids were so great.  They will still sit on Santa's lap and talk to him and tell him what they want.  This particular Santa was SOOOOO sweet.  He just radiated happiness and was Super friendly.  I still BELIEVE:)

SADIE BUG

I was lucky enough to have lunch with this cute BUG the last day of school before Christmas break.  When I was leaving Driggs on Thursday Sadie came into the class I was working in and said, "Mom can you take me to lunch?"  I said, "Why Not!  Let the Christmas vacation begin."  I sure love our spunky little Sadie Bug.

CHRISTMAS SINGING

We were lucky to have a couple of singing performances this year to help get us in the Christmas spirit.  Olympus High's Choir performance was last Wednesday night and Driggs Elementary's performance was last Thursday morning.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

SPECIAL NEEDS CHRISTMAS PARTY

Last week the youth in our ward hosted their annual Special Needs Christmas party for the Special Needs Mutual.  We have been doing this in Holladay since I was a teenager.  I so remember getting together with these sweet kids and spending time with them and learning more about them.  Our kids loved it this year.  It is a great activity to help them appreciate what they have and the importance of loving one another and that we are ALL children of God!

They were each given buddies to walk around with during the party.

TEMPLE SQUARE

Olympus High's concert choir sang in the Tabernacle last Sunday evening.  It was the perfect night to go hear Rachel sing and then walk around the temple and see the lights.  The Temple Square lights always make me so happy and even better to spend the time with Mike and my kids.  This is one tradition that I will ALWAYS love :)

WINTER FORMAL

Rachel had her Winter Formal dance on the 15th of December.  She took Henry Crandall who is a sophomore at Olympus.  They ate at Zetahas in Gateway and after the dance they hot tubbed and ate waffles at Megan Hopkins.  Rachel said it was a lot of fun and her date was super nice!

SNOGRESSION

Jake has been taking snowboard trick classes at Snogression this winter with 4 of his friends.  It is a warehouse downtown that he meets at once a week for 7 weeks and they give him instruction for the 1st hour on the tramp and then the 2nd hour they do tricks off the snowboard/ski ramp.  Jake is super fearless (he is definitely Mike's son) and we figured if he is gonna be doing tricks up at the ski resort we better get him some training.  It was quite entertaining to stay and watch the day that Mike and I drove carpool.
