~~DANCE RECITAL~~

Sadie had her dance recital last weekend at Kingsbury Hall.  She was in the matinee performance at 2:00 and the evening performance at 6:00.  We went to Pie Pizzeria in between performances with the Ellis'. Our parents all came to the evening performance .  Sadie is so lucky to have so much support.  It was a great day of celebrating Sadie and her awesome year of dance!  WE LOVE YOU SADIE!!!

 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

~~DANCE PICTURES~~

Sadie had her dance pictures taken last week at the studio.  They turned out so cute.  We love our dancer and all her dance buddies! :)

 

 

 

 

 

~~FAMILY PICNIC~

Last Sunday we had a family picnic at Draper park with some of our high school friends and their families (Jen Derreck, Jeni Hobbs, Erin Ashton, Kristine Jensen and I aka Sorensens, Andersens, Gublers, Davies and Deans).  It was so fun to get together and introduce our kids to each other.  We played kickball.  Fun was had by all!  Hopefully we will do it again really soon!!!

~~HIGHLAND'S LAST DANCE~~

Jake got asked to Highland's "Last Dance" by Emma Nielsen.  She is a friend of one of his buddies Hudson Randle's cousin.  It is always fun to go to other schools dances and branch out and make new friends.  Jake said he had a lot of fun with Emma.  They ate at Bandits, Dance, Classic Skating and hung out after at one of her friends houses. Good times! :)

 

 

 

~~CHRONIC TACOS~~

Jake started working at Chronic Tacos in Sugarhouse.  One of his Young  Men leaders Jeremy Jensen opened it so Jake is super grateful to be working there.  It has been two weeks and he says he likes it so that's good.  He can't believe how generous people are with tips.  In 8 days he has worked he has made about$125 just in tips!  Yay for nice people!!! :)

 

~~DANCE COMPANY SHOWCASE~~

These girls did an amazing job in their company showcase at the Marriott Center for Dance May 9th.  Mike was on a business trip in Ohio so he couldn't make it, it was Jake's first day at his new job so he couldn't come and my parents were in Hawaii but we were super grateful to have Judy, Roger, Amy, Will and I there to help support our gorgeous dancer!  Good job Elite Dance Company!  You girls ROCKED IT!!!

 

 

~~HAPPY MOTHERS DAY~~

It was a great Mother's Day weekend!  We ate dinner Saturday night at Red Robbin with the Nelson adults to help celebrate.  We had dinner Sunday night with the Dean family and then talked to Rachel for 1 1/2 hours on Skype.  We had my parents come over for a few minutes in the beginning and then Roger and Judy came over for the last few minutes.  It was so fun for us all to get to talk to her.  She looks so great and happy!  I got a $25 amazon gift card, diet coke, chocolate cinnamon bears and riesens (a few of my favorite things:) from Mike and my kids.  I definitely felt the love.  Being a mom is the absolute best! I love all the relationships I have created with Mike and our kids!  They bring me so much joy and happiness!  LIFE IS GOOD! :)
