Tis the season to be JOLLY...

Fa, la la la la, la la la la.

We are so lucky to live in the BEST neighborhood. Kate and Steve Mooth had a fun Christmas party this last week at their house. We ate great food and opened white elephant gifts. It was fun to see how clever some people were with their white elephants they brought. There was such a great turnout. We missed those that couldn't come because of other commitments.

Egan's, Rice's, Adair's, Seagle's, Holt's, Davies', Hill's, Fuhriman's, Little's, Bagley's, Janke's, Nielsen's, Bruce's, Ellis', Jensen's, Gregson's, Mooth's and Us were all there.

I'm DREAMING of a WHITE Christmas...

just like the ones I used to know.

Our yard today December, 12th.
I will admit I am not a lover of the snow, but really, I mean seriously it needs to feel like Christmas around here. So mother nature please send some snow our way so we can enjoy a WHITE Christmas. You can quickly melt it January 31st in the valley, but keep it in the mountains until April. That would be great. Thanks.

We wish you a MERRY Christmas...

we wish you a MERRY Christmas, we wish you a MERRY Christmas and a HAPPY new year!!!

After talking to Trish Hill one day at church about all the older people we have on our street we decided it would be fun to put together a family caroling night with Evening Star and Saturn. Trish was so nice to host a potluck dinner before we went caroling in her home. We would have loved to include more of the neighborhood but for space we thought we should just keep it to our two streets. We had such a great time caroling around our two streets. It was really fun to see the kids get into it and go right up to the doors and start singing. You could tell that the people we sang to really enjoyed it. It was nice that the weather wasn't too cold that night.

Davies', Smith's, Hill's, Mooth's, Dean's, Hoggan's,
Jefferies' & Johnson's were all there.
We missed the Petty's and Wick's they couldn't make it :(

Our fabulous host Trish.
Seriously nothing seems to phase her, she is so dang easy going. Thanks a ton for opening your house to over 35 people and more than 20 of them were children =)

Away in a manger...

no crib for HIS bed, the little LORD JESUS
laid down HIS sweet head.

We took the kids up to Midway last Sunday to a church that had hundreds of nativities displayed. They are always set up the first weekend in December. It is a fun tradition that our family loves. It is so interesting to see all the different countries displayed and things they use to make their nativities. We were sure glad it wasn't stormy this year because that can make the drive a little scary.

The DEAN family nativity scene =)
Below are pictures of some of our favorite nativities:

HUNGARY JAMAICAKENYA
COLUMBIA
ARGENTINA
CHILE
HAWAII
The nativity puppet show.
FUN NIGHT =)

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why...

SANTA CLAUS is coming to town.

We took the kids to Trolley Square last night to see Santa. That is the best place to see Santa. The few years we have been there we have had no lines and they let you take your own pictures. I just love all the lights that are behind Santa...they are so pretty.

It's beginning to look alot like CHRISTMAS...

everywhere you go.

It is hard to believe that 3 weeks from today is CHRISTMAS EVE. It is amazing how much decorating our house really gets us into the CHRISTMAS SPIRIT. I just love the front room at night with the tree all lit....it just makes me happy =)
Only "21" shopping days left until Christmas!!!
