MILLCREEK CANYON

Last weekend we had a picnic up the canyon with the Nelson family. There is never a dull moment with the Nelson clan. The kids love every minute they get to spend with their cousins. The weather was so nice and it was just fun to hang out and enjoy the cooler temperatures.
We missed you Mel, Brad, Chloe and Ezra :(These 3 were off exploring when we took the group picture of the kids.
Going up the canyon gets us excited for cool Fall weather.
Thanks Mom and dad for organizing a fun time together :)

SCHOOL IS NOW BACK IN SESSION

The kids were super excited to start the new school year. I am working at Driggs again this year as an aide. I am lucky to work 1 hr a day with a kindergartener named Beckham and 2 hrs a day with a 2nd grader named Alesha (I was her aide last year). I am excited to get to work with these cute kids and to get to know them even better. Driggs is such a great place to work. I love being in the school where my kids are.

We are lucky to live in a neighborhood that does a breakfast the first day of school. It is so fun for the kids to get to meet with their friends and head off to school together. Thanks Jensen's for hosting it again this year. You guys are the best :)
We are in for a fun year with A HIGHSCHOOLER, A JR HIGHSCHOOLER and 2 GRADESCHOOLERS in the house :)

ADIDAS CUP TOURNAMENT

Will played in his last soccer tournament the weekend before school started in West Jordan. We have had so much fun watching him play this summer. Their team has really improved. Now onto the beginning of their regular season.
GO BLAST!!!

SUMMER DAYS

Here are some things that kept us busy during the summer...
It is crazy how fast time flew by.

Jumping on the tramp and swinging.
Lots of days were spent at lagoon. We bought season passes this year and we were so glad we did. It was a great way to kill a summer day. Sadie was tall enough this summer to go on every ride. It sure makes it fun to be able to go on all the rides together.
We went to a few movies together as a family.
We took advantage of the kids bowl free at fat cats.
One Saturday we took the kids to the Bingham Copper Mine. We had never been there so it was fun to explore it together.
Lots of days were spent swimming at the Dean pool.
It really makes me sad that summer is over and things are back into full swing. I am already missing our lax schedule. Now it is school, sports, piano and homework. Only 9 more months until summer vacation :)

SCOUTS

Jake had a court of honor a few weeks ago. He was asked to speak about fun activities they did while at scout camp. He received a lot of merit badges this summer. I love how into the scouting program he is. He loves to work on merit badges and be with the leaders and boys. Will is excited for the day that he gets to go on camps with Jeff and Mike and meet with them on Wednesday evenings. I just hope they keep them in there for awhile so Will gets his turn with his dad as his leader.Jake received the scouting spirit award for having a positive attitude and being a leader while at scout camp this year.
We love our scout masters. Especially the one on the left :)
