~~ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS~~

Rachel has been out "3" months on her mission!  I SOOOO look forward to her weekly emails. :) They make me want to be a better person each week I read them.  She is having such a great time and making such a difference in Calgary!  We are so beyond grateful for her and the example she is to all of us.  It has been so fun seeing our kids each email her on Sunday evening keeping her updated on their lives.  Watching them bond with their sister through email is the greatest! :) Missions are truly the BEST! Although I miss her terribly (and still cry each email I get), I wouldn't want her anywhere else in the world!  Keep up the good work Hermana Dean! You are in our constant prayers!!
WE LOVE YOU!!! Thanks for being you! xoxo

~~RED BULL 400~~

Jake ran in the Red Bull 400 meter race up at Olympic Park yesterday.  They had to run straight up the ski jump.  Holy cow I COULD NOT believe how steep that thing was and to basically have to sprint up it. AMAZING!! Jake did such an awesome job.  He took "17th" out of 400 participants.  SO cool! He is seriously an animal.  He ran it in 4:52.  Way to go Jake!!! YOU ROCK!

~~SUSPENSION~~

Jake can now say "I have been suspended from school".  This is what happened... So the Thursday before the homecoming dance Jake was in English class and one of his friends Brittney Barnes had some pepper spray on her key chain.  Jake who knows why asks her if she has ever sprayed it and if she knows if it stinks?  Really??? So she said no and he asks do you care if I spray some on my wrist?  She is like ummm no.  So he does.  Well it turns out that even a little pepper spray on your wrist pretty much can wreak up a room and make people so they have trouble breathing.  So class ends and Jake soon is asked to go to the principals office to talk about the pepper spray incident.  Jake still doesn't think he has done anything wrong or maybe if so lunch detention for a few days?  No he has basically used a "weapon" in school and put a classroom of students at jeopardy so that was terms to be suspended for 3 days :(  (The girl that brought the pepper spray only got 1 day suspension).  Not only that since it was the day before the homecoming football game they didn't let him play in the game or go to the homecoming dance.  So he had to miss those things and 3 days of school.   Well needless to say Jake was bummed at church that Sunday so after talking to some people in our ward he made plans for his days off.  Instead of sleeping the day away he was going to go and do something.  Monday the Mooth's had him over for BBQ hamburgers and then Steve took Jake and Mike to the Gun Range up Parley's canyon.  Tuesday he got picked up at 5:00 am by Dave Bagley one of his young men leaders and he took him to hike Lone Peak (a 12.8 mile hike)  they had tried to fit this hike in during the summer but couldn't find the time.  Later Tuesday afternoon Mike and I took Jake to Dragon Diner for lunch.  I am so grateful for these awesome men in our neighborhood who took time out of their day to spend time with our "hoodlum" :)  It really meant alot to Jake to get to do something while everyone was in school and at football practice.  We learned 2 things last week... 1- We sure live in an awesome neighborhood and 2 - Don't ever spray pepper spray in school! haha

~~HOMECOMING 2015~~

Jake went to The Olympus Homecoming dance last weekend (at least to all the activities minus the actual dance due to his supsension :(.  He took Cali Felts.  They looked so good together and matched perfectly :)  They had 25 couples in their group!  For the day date they went to Ben Bywaters for waffles.  Dinner was at Macaroni Grill and after the dance they went to Classic Skating and then to Jake Dunn's to hangout more.  Jake said he had alot of fun and Cali was a great date! :)

~~LUKES BIRTHDAY~~

To celebrate Luke Adair's "15th" birthday his mom rented a 15 passenger van and surprised Luke with having 11 of his friends all ready to go to the Salt Lake temple and do baptisms and then to lunch after on a Friday afternoon when school got out.  Will is so lucky to have such great friends and parents that are so supportive.  We feel SOOOO fortunate to live where we do!  LIFE IS GOOD! :)

~~MILLCREEK CANYON~~

We went up Millcreek canyon a few Sundays ago with the Nelson crew to roast hot dogs and celebrate Jaxon and Ellsie's birthdays :)  It was a fun time of catching up and hanging together for a few hours.  Everyone was there but Rachel, Annie and Troy!  I LOVE my family!!
