~~SEALINGS~~

We went to the Ogden Temple with some of my siblings and their spouses the last Saturday in August.  It was so fun to be in the temple and do sealings together.  These sealings finished off the family names we found when the stake president issued the ward council the challenge in the spring to find a name/names to take to the temple and do all the work.  Mike and I completed 9 names :)  This was the perfect time for some of my siblings and spouses to go and be together in the temple since our dad has been so sick.  It was nice to be able to put his name on the prayer roll and pray for him in the Celestial room.  I am so beyond grateful for temples.  I feel so much peace when I am there! We are so lucky to have so many temples so close to us.  For this family name temple challenge Mike and I were able to go to Draper, Bountiful, Salt Lake, Oquirrh Hills and Ogden!  How lucky are we!!! :)   We finished the night off with dinner at Roosters and Farrs Ice Cream!! :)

 

~~HERMANA ALLPHIN~~

Rachel's mission trainer Hermana Allphin came home from her mission the middle of August.  We were so grateful our schedules worked out that we got to go hear her homecoming talk.  She is so darling and absolutely LOVES Rachel!  It was fun to meet Elder Fitzgerald and see Elder Farnsworth again.  Rachel said Fitzgerald and Allphin have already been on a couple of dates since coming home from their missions!  How cool is that when two people meet serving the Lord in the same mission! :)

Rachel comes home in 20 weeks... but who is counting EH?!?

~~BRING ON THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR~~

Another school year has begun! It is so crazy how fast the summer flew by.  Soon summer will just be a distant memory :(  These 3 all had a great first week of school.  We ate a spaghetti dinner as a family the night before and Mike gave the kids a father's blessing. The one nice thing about school being back in is actually eating dinner together again as a family!! :)  I have missed that!

 Sadie's friend Eliza Meier that lives across from the Jr. High did a breakfast the first day of school.  It was fun for the girls to all meet there and walk over together!!

~~BACKPACK TRIP TO WALL LAKE~~

Jake and Mike went on a backpack trip the weekend before school started with the priests.  They went to Wall Lake which was a couple mile hike in, it's in the Uintahs.  They said it was alot of fun!  There were 5 priests, 5 dads and 2 leaders that went.  I am so grateful for these bonding trips our boys have with Mike.  

He is the best dad!!! I LOVE HIM!!! :)

 

  

 

 
 
 

~~OLYMPUS JR HERE SHE COMES~~

Sadie had a few swim parties (Goddard's and Bywater's) to bring in the new adventures at Olympus Jr.  She is so lucky to have such a great group of friends!  Friday after she got home from Brighton camp we went over to the Jr. High to practice opening her locker and walk around to see where all her classes are!  What an exciting time!!!

 

 

 

 

~~BRIGHTON CAMP~~

Sadie had a great time at Brighton Beehive camp the week before school started.  She roomed with Grace Ellis and their counselor was "Palmer".  They did lots of activities and hikes.  It was a little weird not having her and her buddies home for the week!  Boy I love all my "Beehives" :)
